Another Alternative to Circle Lenses(Splash of Color 2) + Misc Glasses Shopping

Clearly Contacts is a place I shop for glasses now as I feel the local optometrists are a rip off.  I wear contacts most of the time so glasses are only for when I am home.  There was a promotion earlier, not sure if it is still going on, where Clearly Contacts was giving away a free pair of glasses for first time customers so I picked a pair.  Shipping was about $18.00CAD and that was it....my glasses came in a few days with a case and some accessories.  Very fast service and good quality!  I do recommend shopping from them.
On another occasion, after I got my free glasses, I was having lunch with a friend and noticed that she's wearing circle lenses so I asked her where it was bought.  It turns out it was bought on Clearly Contacts!  I didn't know they sold circle lenses so I did some research.  The brand is called Splash of Color 2 and there are various colours available.  They are weekly disposable lenses and come with 6 pairs for $24.89CAD for a box.  I picked up a box of Violet Venom and Grey Storm.  It only took a few days to arrive and once I opened the package, they are indeed circle lenses.  Looked at the box and it says they are made in South Korea.  These lenses are quite comfortable and I am very happy they are weekly lenses.  The big eyes effect are not as big as real circle lenses BUT they are definitely noticeable.

Violet Venom
Grey Storm
-Edit: December 15, 2012-I no longer have Grey Storm to take a photo. I am not very good with swatching and taking pictures of my eyes.  This is the best I can do.  The grey storm looks similar to Violet Venom but is a bit more obvious/fake looking.  The Violet Venom is obvious/subtle.
this is the Violet Venom with indoor lighting
They also have a more natural line called Splash Illusion and I picked up the black one.  They are daily disposable lenses and once I opened the box, I think they are comparable to the Acuvue Defines.  These daily ones are not as big as the Acuvue Vivids so I will still buy the Vivids but this is a good and fast temporary replacement if you cant get the Acuvues.

Happy shopping everyone!  Hope my review is helpful! :)

Circle Lens Review- Acuvue Define: Vivid and Accent

Was looking at the soompi circle lens page and wanted to buy them again!  I currently still have one pair of Mars brown lens but I don't think I will repurchase them.  Did a lot of reading on circle lenses and was a concerned about the safety of certain lenses and didn't really want to buy them anymore after reading a terrible experience by a blogger that so happens to be in Vancouver!  Gah...her experience was unpleasant and it really discourages me from wanting to buy them as it is not a legit type of lens in Canada or USA.

After a lot of looking around I did end up buying something.  I bought Acuvue one day vivid lenses!  They are legit enough...come on...the brand is Acuvue!! Plus they are one day wear...which means I should be fine in regards to cleanliness.  Too bad they can only be bought in Asia...I don't know why since they are made from a legit brand.

I bought Acuvue Define: Vivid and Acuvue Define: Accent from Contact Lens Exhange

It came fairly fast...took 6 business days!  Came in a secure package from Singapore.  Ordered it on April 15, 2012 and received it on April 23, 2012.

Acuvue Define: Vivid
Acuvue Vivid is the brown one and I felt that it was a bit more comfortable than the Acuvue Define.  I thought Acuvue Vivd is slightly bigger than the Acuvue Define and I think I will buy it again!  It costs: $35.80USD for 30 pairs.

Acuvue Define: Accent
I didnt really like Acuvue Accent as much and probably will not buy it again.  They are both comfortable lenses but the enlargement of these lenses are not good enough to be considered circle lenses.  They were also: $35.80USD for 30 pairs.
