Cafe Medina

Stopped by Cafe Medina for lunch with my friend A.  We sat at the bar and I had a hot chocolate while we waited for our food.  I ordered the Saumon Fumé which was $12.00CAD and my friend ordered the Les Boulettes which was $14.00CAD.

Spicy Moroccan lamb and beef meatballs, roasted vegetables. Houmus, raita. Grilled foccacia.

Saumon Fumé
Open faced ciabatta sandwich. Fried egg, smoked salmon caper cream cheese, sliced avocado, arugula peppadew and artichoke salad.

Overall I love the food!  I just would not go back during our lunch break because the service was a tad slow.  It also is a small space so people are seated quite close to each other.  I may come back during opening hours when it is less busy. :p

Sweet Obsession- cakes and tart

A friend mentioned a delicious cake place called sweet obsession and I had to go see for myself how delicious their cakes are!  And they are! Bought 3 pieces of cake and 1 bag of raspberry marshmallows.  If anyone drops by there, let me know what you had! :D

Kirby's Korner- Nutrilite and Legacy of Clean

Ordered some items from a friends online store.  Bought the Nutrilite Vitamin C boost twist tubes and Fruits and Vegetable twist tubes, some multi purpose wipes and a bathroom cleaner.  The shipping cost from the site is free when you spend over $120.00CAD or $9.95CAD if you spend less than $49.95CAD.  I bought my stuff with my bf who needed vitamins and stuff so I made it over $120.00CAD.

The veggie twist tubes contain 2 portions of fruit and veggies in each...or so it claims!  I mainly use these just because I have trouble drinking water by itself.  I used to use Tetley green tea infusions but realized that they simply make my water taste better but has no other benefits.  At least least one's might do something other than flavour my water.  :)  I bought 2 packs of the Vitamin C one's and 1 pack of the fruits and veggies.  There are 20 twist tubes in each box.  There are other flavours but I am not 100% sure what.  I know there is one that is suppose to help your joints and its raspberry flavoured.  What's cool about these twist tubes is that I don't have to shake my water after I pour it in!  It just magically diffuses!

The fruit and veggie one tastes like mango juice and costs $22.99 per box.  I like this flavour a lot but since I don't mind eating real fruits and veggies, this is not for me for the long term.  I really bought this for the flavour..lol

The vitamin C taste like strawberry kiwi.  I actually drink the vitamin C one's straight out of the tube when I feel like I am starting to get sick...so far so good.  These costs $13.90CAD a box.

I also bought these multi purpose wipes for my purse.  They smell nice and they are suppose to be environmentally friendly.  This particular brand is called Legacy of Clean.  I also bought a bathroom cleaner but I didnt take pictures...LOL.  This came in a pack of 4 and costs $13.25CAD.  If you are an environmentally friendly person, check out the Legacy of Clean line, I care about the environment but I do not actively search for these products..lol

Man Ri Sung, Richmond BC - Duck Feast

Went to eat Peking duck at Man Ri Sung as recommended from a foodie coworker!  They serve this duck feast for 4 people for the price of $58.95CAD and I went there with my 8 friends and ordered 2 ducks.  You have to call at least 2 hours before hand for them to prepare the duck.  The owner is also the chef of the restaurant and he is quite chatty.  Apparently he is Korean and he went to Beijing to study how to prepare some Chinese cuisines and one of the items is the Peking duck.  He prepares it slightly different than the traditional way, instead of just skin you get meat along with the wrap.   We ordered the 잡채(Jap Chae) and the 순대(blood sausage) and the hot pot to come with the duck.  You can choose either hot pot with hand made fresh 刀削面(knife cut noodles) with the remaining duck after he slices most of the meat off. or duck congee.  We chose 2 hot pots.  All 9 of us couldn't finish the 2 duck courses and everything was delish! We didnt really eat all of the hot pot as it was a hot day and we were all sweating due to the heat. The hot pot would have been better in the winter or on a colder day..lol. 

I love this place and I would definitely come back.  The only con I feel about this is that they hardly speak English here, you have to either speak Korean or Mandarin....they do speak some English, but keep it simple!

Gmarket-Gaccount Balance Order~

My Gmarket order arrived last week!  I used my left over Gaccount balance to purchase a high low tank, bright blue skinnies and some microbeads.

The high low tank is pretty cute although I do find the deer a little creepy..lol.  The material is a little bit sheer so I would only wear it with a cardigan on or wear a tank inside.  It costs about $8.00USD.

I really like the bright blue skinnies!  I did buy a size 28 and for some reason it is a size or 2 too large..lol  Inconsistent sizing....but if I want I can wear a belt and it is fine.  The blue was not the blue I wanted but it is still versatile and cute!  The material does not feel cheap and it is quite comfortable.  It was about $21.00USD shipping not included.

There are many different types of nail art accessories on Gmarket and they are inexpensive!  I picked up a pack of microbeads just because I am missing some colours for the sprinkles/caviar look.  I shall do a post on it after I mix the beads.  :D  It was about $1.80USD and it came with nail glue.
